I am a proud mum of two boys, one of whom is Autistic and has various additional support needs. My journey to secure the right support for my son has been an incredible experience, guiding me toward a passion for supporting other children through meditation, mindfulness, and Forest School practices. Watching my son thrive in his own Forest School setting was truly transformative, and now I have the privilege of sharing the remarkable benefits of Forest School and connection with nature with others.

I work full-time for Fireflies as a Therapeutic Forest School Leader. My role includes leading sessions at various schools, as well as hosting sessions at my woodland site near Methlick. Previously, I spent two years establishing and running Forest School provisions for all pupils, from Nursery to Primary 7, at a local primary school.

• Forest School and Outdoor Learning Leadership, Newbattle Abbey College (Forest School Leader)
• Certificate in Therapeutic Skills for Outdoor Leaders
• Certificate in Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing
• Certificate in Intensive Wellbeing Support in the Outdoors.
• As well as this I have my Outdoor First Aid and Outdoor Food Hygiene qualifications.
• Connected Kids Professional Tutor

My personal vision for Fireflies is to offer all ages and abilities opportunities to nurture and thrive in nature.  As well as that to have FUN, lots of FUN!!
